OnePlace started from a simple observation: Pakistani retailers, distributors and brands needed a trustworthy way to sell online — and buyers needed confidence that what they order is genuine and that their money is safe.
I designed and engineered OnePlace as two products in one. For buyers it is a verified marketplace with daily deals, wishlists, nationwide cash on delivery and live order tracking. For sellers it works like Shopify: a seller can register through the Seller Center and run a complete online business — their own storefront, products, inventory, orders and payouts — from their own dashboard.
Behind the scenes the platform is a full SaaS system: separate role-based dashboards, escrow-backed payments with dispute resolution, courier integrations with TCS and Leopards, local payment methods, an affiliate programme, a blog, a help centre and native mobile apps.
The challenge
Online shopping in Pakistan suffers from a trust gap: buyers fear fake products and lost payments, while small sellers cannot afford to build and run their own e-commerce technology. The platform had to solve trust for buyers and technology for sellers — at the same time, at national scale.
How I built it
Designed a multi-tenant architecture so every seller gets their own store, dashboard and data, while the marketplace shares one catalogue and checkout.
Built escrow-style payments: money is held until the buyer's 7-day inspection period passes, with a dispute workflow when something goes wrong.
Integrated local logistics (TCS, Leopards) and local payments (JazzCash, Easypaisa, COD, cards) so it works the way Pakistanis actually buy.
Created separate role-based dashboards — admin, seller, customer and affiliate — each showing only what that role needs.
Made it fast, SEO-friendly and mobile-first, then extended it to native iOS and Android apps.
The result
A live, nationwide e-commerce platform that gives sellers their own online business without technical skills, and gives buyers verified products, protected payments and tracked delivery — built and engineered end to end.
